desAMORes is an art project created by the artist Monsenhor enVide neFelibata. The main ideas of this mail_art event call are: first, to provide artists the opportunity to show their work at Portugal and secondly to spread the concepts of mail_art to other people by means of the exhibition and the workshop that will be held at the same place.

Every artist was invited to join in by sending artwork by traditional mail, commonly know as snail mail, regarding the theme desAMORes. The selected artwork will be shown at exhibitions, with the same name, that will tour through Portuguese Museums, Galleries, Libraries and some unconventional spaces.

At every exhibition, a workshop will be held by the artist Monsenhor enVide neFelibata or a local mail_art artist. At this workshop, we’ll present some of the technics that have been used by mail_artists as well as explore different materials and learning all the dos and don’ts relative to the Portuguese mailing postal system concerning mail_art.

If we find it important, a public presentation might previously happen in each city directed to the local student community in order to clarify any doubts about this major event.
