about

Artist Books are artistic objects that use the book format or the concept of the book itself at its core.

At this international collective exhibition, we do present several works of this genre, which proliferated in the very contemporary XX century, together with its congeners Visual Poetry, Assemic Writing among some other derivatives. Here, we do exalt the graphic conceptual representation of the "word" and the "word" abstraction. With this show you’ll relearn what you've considered the book object to be and your present notion of the written word.

This is an on-tour exhibition curated by the artist Monsenhor enVide neFelibata that held artwork by several handpicked national and international artists.

The artwork is shown at exhibitions that will tour through Portuguese Museums, Galleries, Libraries and some unconventional places.

At the moment the collection counts with 65 works from 24 artists from 9 different countries.
