Teatro e Marionetas de Mandrágora is a professional puppet theater company directed by Clara Ribeiro and Filipa Mesquita and with Monsenhor enVide neFelibata’s art direction.

The Company was founded in 2002, which marks the beginning of our professional activity. In the symbiosis of a symbolic language, which combines the heritage and traditional legacy and the contemporary thinking, not always peaceful, comes a fundamental element, the puppet. This element supports us in the search for a proper cultural identity. Our aim is to discover the aesthetic, scenic and dramatic potentialities of the puppet itself, as in relation to the actor and within this discovery, to explore the drama that characterizes us. An eager to explore culture and cultures, belief, legend, allied with the city, technological exploration, the speed of the global village.

Throughout our artistic path there have been several proposals in the audiences; adult, young, school and family; either in basic or specialized training. One of our great bets is the national and international tour of our projects. Decentralization, community work, partnership creation and social and inclusive valorization are preponderant concerns in our daily lives.
